Savory Oatmeal Waffle

Here is how to make the savory oatmeal waffle:

For Waffle

1 cup all-purpose flour

2/4 cup oat flour

2 Funtuna eggs

2tsp baking powder

Pinch of sea salt

1 tsp chopped fresh tarragon or fresh herb of your choice

2 Tbsp melted butter with 1 tsp of crushed garlic

1 cup semi-skimmed milk or whole milk

Whisk all the dry ingredients together. Create a well in the middle and add all the wet ingredients and mix till combined well. Allow it to sit for 20mins before cooking.

Brush your waffle maker with butter or a neutral oil and cook

your waffle till golden and cooked through

Chicken

1 large chicken breast about 400g

1 tsp all-purpose seasoning

1.5 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp chicken seasoning (I used an MSG-free one)

1 heaped tsp garlic powder or crushed garlic

2 tsp fresh tarragon

2 tbsp oil for stir-frying

Cut 1 large chicken breast into chunks and with all the spices and garlic

In a hot pan throw in the chicken and stir fry with done and finish with a sprinkling of fresh tarragon at the end and set aside to top the waffle.

Chili Maple Syrup

3/4 cup maple syrup

1 small scotch bonnet pepper chopped finely

1 tsp crushed garlic

1 tbsp lemon juice

Combine all on medium heat till it bubbles for about a min and it’s ready!

Assemble and Enjoy!

Serve hot hot!! Eggcittinngggg!
